This past Sunday, the Georgia Bulldogs’ 3rd grade flag football team showcased their incredible talent and teamwork in a thrilling match against the Tennessee Volunteers at Sidwell Friends School. With only 15 seconds left on the clock, our team clinched a dramatic victory, winning the game on the final drive. As the coach, I couldn’t be prouder of each player’s performance and dedication.

Meet the Team

August (#12): August was a powerhouse on the field, running twice and scoring a crucial touchdown. His agility and speed were unmatched, earning him one of the MVP honors for the game.

Connor (#10): Connor made significant contributions with a run and a key pass reception that secured a first down. His versatility and quick thinking were vital to our success.

Declan (#9): As the team captain, Declan led by example with a big run that energized the team. His leadership and determination were evident throughout the game.

Henry (#3): Henry’s impressive run for a first down kept our momentum going. His effort and focus were commendable.

James (#4): James showcased his skills by running for a touchdown, adding crucial points to our score. His enthusiasm and drive were inspiring.

Jude (#7): Jude’s run for a first down was a pivotal moment in the game. His perseverance and athleticism shone brightly.

Jordan (#8): Jordan, my son, made two important pass receptions, demonstrating his excellent catching ability and contributing significantly to our offensive plays.

Margot (#5): Margot’s run and successful 2-point conversion were game-changing. Her performance earned her the well-deserved MVP honors alongside August.

Noah (#11): Noah was instrumental in our victory, running for a first down and catching two passes, including the game-winning reception. His clutch performance under pressure was outstanding.

Weston (#6): Weston’s run for a first down was crucial in maintaining our drive. His determination and effort were key to our success.

Roman: Although Roman wasn’t able to make it to the game, his presence and support are always felt by the team. His positive attitude and encouragement are invaluable to our success.

The Final Drive

With the game on the line and only 15 seconds remaining, our team executed a flawless final touchdown. The teamwork, sportsmanship, and sheer will to win displayed by the Georgia Bulldogs were truly remarkable.

Looking Ahead

As we celebrate this victory, we look forward to the rest of the season with excitement and confidence. Each player has shown tremendous growth and potential, and I am honored to coach such a dedicated and talented group of young athletes.
